Shamanism

What is shamanism
Shamanism may have originated in the Old Stone Age in Siberia and is considered the oldest
spiritual tradition on earth. Scientists believe that everything has sprung from this tradition. In
shamanism, techniques are used to make contact with the invisible or spiritual world. Shamanism
originally arose in Mongolia and Eastern Siberia. It is based on the assumption that the visible
world is interwoven with invisible energies that influence the lives of the living. The word
shamanism comes from Tungusic (Siberia) and literally means: “he/she who knows.”
Medicine men and women are able, through rituals and deep meditative trances, to connect with
their higher consciousness in order to bring healing to all matter—humans, animals, but also plants,
stones, and everything tangible. According to these principles, everything has consciousness and
everything has been created from the same energetic laws. Everything has a “spirit.”
